Since its website launched in November 2022, Flixton Sawmill has been on an
it’seeze Shop package. Over the following year, the Flixton team consistently made edits to the website, proactively adding products and services to expand their business. However, in August 2023, we were tasked with the optimisation of the website and developed a strategic plan for monthly optimisation going forward.

Our challenge
In August 2023, while Flixton Sawmill’s website was performing well, with web audits and site loading speed recording high scores, it had yet to be keyword optimised effectively. Flixton Sawmill’s website traffic seasonally peaks around the winter months due to firewood being one of the primary products on sale.
The challenge was to grow site traffic and engagement throughout the Summer months to increase sales in garden furniture and buildings. This underscored the urgency of optimisation, as the site was functioning as expected but hadn’t been optimised specifically for organic traffic or sales.


The outcome
In the past year, the website’s organic search visibility has significantly increased. Impressions from search went up from 43K to over 108K which is over a 150% year-on-year improvement. Additionally, clicks to the website from Google increased by over 37% year-on-year.
This growth in search visibility and clicks has resulted in a 27% year-on-year increase in online revenue. While we have seen success, there is still room for improvement in enhancing the customer journey and building upon our commercial achievements.
