The Client
Groovy Moo specialise in artisan gelato – hand-making authentic, Italian style gelato the traditional way in the heart of Yorkshire.
In addition to selling direct from its Gelateria and Pudding Parlour in Malton, Groovy Moo also supplies gelato to restaurants, cafes, farm shops and attractions across Yorkshire.
The company was founded in 2015, and since then has built a loyal fanbase and won several awards for its silky smooth, delicious frozen desserts.
The Challenge
Groovy Moo had got by without a website for years – relying on word of mouth and social media fans to promote the business.
When the pandemic struck, their gelateria in Malton took a hit, but locals still wanted to order their products for delivery! They started taking orders over the phone and via social media, but wanted an online system to make things easier.
In addition, the company has ambitious plans to grow the business beyond its Yorkshire roots – developing the trade side of the business, and building a network of wholesalers who want to stock the product.
To support this, they wanted a website that told the story of the brand, and would provide a strong platform for future growth.
The Solution
We put together an easy to use, contemporary website designed to showcase the fantastic products, unique story and personality that makes Groovy Moo so special.
It also features a dedicated online shop, enabling customers to order online for local delivery or click and collect.
Content was provided by One Nine Nine Agency and specialist food photographer, Karen Turner – complementing the design to help strengthen and build a cohesive brand identity across the site.
