Rare Bird is Malton’s first and only distillery. Established in 2016, it’s quickly carved out an excellent reputation across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire for its delicious craft gins.
Based in Talbot Yard, at the heart of Malton’s burgeoning craft produce centre, Rare Bird distils on site, using its unique 300L copper still – ‘Florence’. In addition to creating gin, Rare Bird also runs a popular gin school, where gin lovers can come and create their very own bespoke bottles.
By the start of 2019, Rare Bird had outgrown its original website, and was looking for a new platform to support the development and expansion of the business.
The company wanted a contemporary site that looked great and fitted the brand. Rare Bird also wanted an online shop, so it could sell gin, gin school vouchers, and branded accessories directly to its customers.
With a small team, Rare Bird needed a website that could be easily edited in-house, and wanted access to dedicated technical support whenever they needed it.
The website was successfully launched in spring 2019, and Rare Bird is going from strength to strength online! Matt and the team love the design, which reflects the luxury, artisan nature of the Rare Bird brand perfectly.
Now, the distillery is growing – expanding into new markets and developing its gin school for the benefit of gin lovers everywhere. As the company expands, the website will grow with the business, helping to drive sales and promote the Rare Bird brand.
