Business Advice Pops Up at Malton Business Cafe

The Mystery to Business Success in Malton? Get Out There and Communicate!
On the 23rd of March, along with a number of others, I've been asked to be one of the business experts offering free advice at the Malton Popup Business Café. The event takes place at Malton Golf Club between 9.00am and 1.00pm. Why don't you come along and take advantage of it?

‘’There’s no mysterious solution to business success’’ says Rob Davies of it’seeze websites, ‘’you’ve just got to get out there and communicate’’ and communicating - especially online, is Rob's speciality.
Rob started his web marketing business in Malton three years ago. ‘’I’ve worked on over 130 websites during that time’’ says Rob, who believes that for him, Malton was a brilliant town in which to start his business.
‘’In a district as spread out as Ryedale, businesses can often be quite insular’’ says Rob, ‘’this shouldn’t be the case, it’s important to reach out for help and advice, whether you’re just starting out or growing your business’’.
Business networking is nothing new to Rob who, alongside his local charity work with Ryedale Special Families, has advised at several Popup Cafés – events set up to offer free, impartial advice to local business and start-ups.
Rob gives advice on web design, more specifically, on marketing and how to promote your business. His advice?
‘’In the first instance, talk to as many people as possible. Communication is extremely valuable even if not for now, you’re making useful contacts and gaining useful information to help build future success…It’s not just about new customers, but also about building a network that you can share ideas with, ask for advice and build your knowledge’’.
What do previous attendees think?
Catherine Calbert from Hazel Farm Holiday Lets loves to come and talk at popups ‘’especially since I work on my own, I always leave a popup feeling inspired. I can’t understand why they aren’t bursting at the seams!’’
Ben from Richmondshire Leisure Trust came away from the event with ‘’five full pages of notes.’’
Melanie Owen-Roberts who runs a local software development business said that her last popup was ‘’really good, I’ve loved having the 1-1 time to ask specific questions.’’
While Sally Fairlie who runs The Old Post Office Holiday Let noted that she ‘wasn’t sold anything, it’s purely about answering my questions.’’
And that’s exactly what’s on offer at the Popup Business Café on March 23rd at the Malton and Norton Golf Club.
The event is organised by How’s Business, the Growth Hub for York, North Yorkshire and East Riding. It is free to attend and will be held from 9am-1pm, Local experts will be available to discuss topics such as websites, marketing, finance, tax and accountancy.
