'Amazeing' Site for Yorkshire's Brand New Countryside Attraction

The Client
Live entertainment entrepreneur, James Cundall MBE, has been the driving force behind successful musicals, theatrical shows, and attractions across Yorkshire, the UK, and around the globe.
In 2019, he began planning The Great Yorkshire Maze, a brand-new family attraction nestled in beautiful countryside in Sherburn at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds.
James met Rob through their mutual support of Ryedale Special Families, a charity that helps the families of children with disabilities and additional needs. After being impressed by what he’d seen of it’seeze websites, he commissioned us to look at the website for the new business.
The Challenge
Coronavirus hit at a pivotal moment for the project. With the attraction set to launch in July, the maize needed to be planted at the end of March – just as lockdown hit. Similar attractions chose to cancel for the year, James was faced with a hard decision.
He decided to take the plunge and go ahead – planting 11 acres of maize and laying the foundations for the business. At the same time, he began putting coronavirus safety plans into place to protect visitors.
He then needed a dependable web partner who could design a site to support the summer launch…
The Solution
Working alongside James, our team created a vibrant, vintage inspired design that captures the traditional family fun of the attraction. It went live at the end of June 2020, with the maze set to launch on July 22nd.
James has ambitious plans to grow the Jamboree Entertainment brand over the coming months, with some innovative COVID-19-safe events in the pipeline. He was so pleased with the finished website, that he’s commissioned it’seeze Web Design Scarborough to create several more for his upcoming projects!
